We have resumed our food collection activities in partnership with St Vincent de Paul. Food items can be dropped off Saturday mornings between 9 and 10 am, or on the first Saturday of the month between 1 and 3 pm.
Thank you to everyone who participated and donated baby items and food at our Baby Saturday drop-off! The two agencies that participated, Ventura Life Centers and Ohana Health filled their vehicles with your contributions, and St Vincent de Paul filled their shelves with food!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

WHO WE ARE:
Project Response is a ministry started 28 years ago after the Los Angeles riots in response to the need for food in a South Central Los Angeles parish. Our mission today is to collect food for the needy of our community to help the working poor, elderly, disabled, and homeless... We believe that each person has dignity and has the right to adequate food.
The food we collect is distributed through our parish food pantry which is operated by our St. Vincent de Paul conference. Help us to respond to the needs of our neighbors. We call St Paschal parishioners 3 times per year, two times to donate a bag of groceries and one time for baby items. We need volunteers to make calls to approximately 10 parishioners to remind them of our food drop-off days. We also need volunteers to help us unload cars and sort food items in the St. Vincent de Paul pantry. The work is easy and rewarding.
For more information, contact Paul (805) 418-0676 or Cathy (805) 341-3026. If you are new to the parish and not on our call lists and would like to donate food, please give us a call.
